Description :   Dr. Sanjay Verma, leading Guitarist, Sitarist, in the field of Hindustani Classical Instrumental Music who has been showered with numerous accolades from various government and other organizations.

Dr. Verma has completed his "Sangeet Praveen" in Guitar from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad & Diploma, B.Mus, M. Mus. and NET in Sitar and Ph.d. on "Maihar Gharane ka Sangeet or shastriya guitar vadan" from Faculty of Music & Performing Arts, Banaras Hindu University.

Dr. Verma style of playing combines both Druvpad Been Anga, Khayal Gayaki styles & Tantrakari Angs. He is still following the oldest tradition of playing Sarode, Sitar and Veena with his modified Hawaiian Guitar, which has its own beautiful technical virtuosity and three octave advantages He is a regular performer at AIR & Doordarshan.

From the last few years Dr. Verma has also started playing the Vichitra Veena, under the guidance of Pt. Rajasekhar Vyas ji from Udaipur . Presently Dr. Verma is working as Senior Assistant Professor in the Sitar, Instrumental Department of Vasanta college for women, Rajghat Varanasi.

Description :   At the outset, I would like to introduce myself .I am Lucky Prajna Pratisthita Mohanty, Odissi Dancer and Teacher from Cuttack and Raipur, Chhattisgarh .

I am an ardent disciple of Padmashree Guru Kumkum Mohanty. I learnt the subtle intricacies and nuances of the Odissi Dance in the numero uno culture institute of Kala Vikash Kendra, Cuttack, Odisha under the tutelage of many eminent Odissi Dance Gurus.

I am an 'A' Grade Odissi Dance -Artiste of Doordarshan Kendra, Gold medalist from Sambalpur University in Odissi Dance and also have been awarded with the honours like Singar Mani, Chhattisgarh Pratibha Samman, Senior National Scholarship (Awarded by the Ministry of Culture, Govt of India), Shree Kshetra Nachuni Award are among the scores of awards given to me. I have done the Master of performing Arts, Alankar Poorna from the  Akhila Bharatiya Gandharv Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai and Shastri Poorna from the Odisha Sangeet Natak Academy in Odissi Dance.

I was also the  Master-Trainer and Chief Consultant to prepare the Odissi Dance CDs in the 45000, Government Primary Schools of the Chhattisgarh to promote it for the first time in for the Chhattisgarh. I also worked as the first Odissi Dance Faculty in the Indira Kala Sangeet Viswha Vidyalaya, Khairagarh, Chhattisgarh .

I have performed in many major dance festivals like Khajuraho, Konark, Chidambaram, Thanjavar, Mandu, Udyashankar, Shreekhetra, Ellora, Modhera etc.inside India.I have also performed in other countries like the USA, Argentina,Paraguay, Uruguay, Switzerland and England

Name :   Ms. Shruti Krishna Bhat

Description :   Shruti Krishna Bhat is a young, talented musician and orator with an excellent academic career. She is a multi faceted personality, product of Sirsi , North Karnataka.

Hindustani classical Vocalist -
Shruti is a promising Hindustani classical vocalist. Born in a musical family, Miss Shruti had her initial training from her mother Smt Laxmi Bhat and then from Smt Geetha Hegde. Then she joined the legendary musician of India Pt Vinayak Torvi, for advanced training in Kirana and Gwalior school of music and has been under his tutelage for fifteen years.

Shruti is recipient of CCRT , Sangeeta Nritya Academy and Sursagar Scholarship and has won many prizes in number of classical music competitions. She has bagged second prize in the state level competition conducted by Dept of youth – Govt of Karnataka. She has performed in music conferences held at Silchar (Assam) ,Kolhapur , Miraj (Navaratri Mahotsav ) , Ganeshotsav Varanasi, Sirsi, Sagar, Kasargod, Puttur, Honnavar, Koppala Music Festival, Annual Musical All Night in Haveri and also at “Shruthi”, “Sursagar”, “Gururao Deshpande Sangeet Sabha – baithak” and many places in Bangalore.

She bagged first place in the state level (with 96%)Hindustani classical vocal – Sangeet Vibakar examination held by Bangiya Sangeet Parishat Kolkata ,affiliated to Ravindra Bharati University.

She has released her Hindustani classical music album “Shruti Lahari” from Lahari Recording Co., Bangalore.

Writer and Orator –
Shruti was a regular columnist in Kannada Prabha daily for one and half years with her well appreciated musical column “Shruti Laya”. The collection of these articles have been released in the form of a book named “Shruti Laya” by Sahitya Prakashana, Hubli, Karnataka.

Shruthi was exposed to philosophy at a very young age and she is a very good orator on philosophical topics. She has given more than 500 lectures all over Karnataka. She has been bestowed upon many accolades and appreciations .

Organiser -
She is a Trustee of Gururao Deshpande Sangeet Sabha , Bangalore - one of the foremost national level classical music organisations of India. She is a good organiser taking active part in organising many musical events like All Night Muaic Mehfil ,Malhar Festival etc., through the Trust. She has social bent of mind and serving the society through music.

Academic excellence -
Shruti has excellent academic records .She is first rank holder for the state in SSLC and also did her graduation and post graduation in commerce with distinction and brought name and fame to the institution. She has work experience in IBM (MNC) , later she resigned it to pursue music and philosophy. She bagged 12 gold medals in her M.A. Degree in Philosophy from Mysore University.

Presently Miss Shruti is pursuing her Ph.D. in philosophy from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
